FAQs
Q. Our town already has a municipal website. Would we have to create a separate
one?
A. Gov.I can be easily integrated into your current website, not only enhancing
existing features but also adding our critical emergency alert notification tool
as well as multiple additional capabilities. For government entities without a website
or seeking to develop a new website, Gov.I offers optional full-scale site design,
web development, and hosting.
Q. Does Gov.I require special technical training?
A. Gov.I is designed to be very user-friendly, and no advanced technical training
is necessary. We do, however, offer training, tips, and instructions to help our
customers get the most out of their Gov.I experience. Additionally, our 24/7 support
service means we are here day or night to answer any questions you may have. And
for clients who want the greatest benefits with the least effort, as an optional
feature we will handle all administrative functions – such as calendar management
and public meeting and notice posts – for you.
Q. How much does Gov.I cost? And how can we justify the expense to our constituents?
A. Gov.I actually helps reduce costs by consolidating into one package the many
services that governments typically bid out separately. Purchased individually,
core capabilities such as advanced emergency alert notifications, online service
request processing, and recreation program management can cost thousands of dollars
each. By integrating all of these capabilities and many, many more into a single-platform
web portal, Gov.I allows governments to reduce expenses while expanding services.
Based on your unique needs, we would be pleased to provide a specific analysis of
your cost savings with Gov.I
Q. How do we generate public interest in Gov.I?
A. At no cost to clients and taxpayers, Gov.I's Media Services division will conduct
a media program and citizen registration drive. The process is simple: In partnership
with you, Gov.I will select four non-competing businesses that will commit to being
featured on a direct mail brochure highlighting the benefits and importance of registration.
This brochure, which will be mailed to every household in the municipality or county,
will prominently feature each participating business as a supporting organization
that helped pay for media program and will offer an interactive incentive to citizens,
redeemable upon registration.
Q. Isn't using one program for all services risky? What if Gov.I fails?
A. Gov.I is supported by state-of-the-art technology, including multiple layers
of backup (both on-site and off-site) as well as disaster-recovery technology. Because
we recognize the ever-present threat of natural and/or man-made disasters, we have
taken extensive measures to ensure the security and integrity of your data even
in the event of a crisis.
